The Linden Tree:  Drawing   Amalia's 25-Things drawing. Students first divided the paper into 25 rectangles by drawing a grid. Each then made up 25 pieces of paper, marked A-4, C-3 and so on. These went into a bag and were picked out one by one by the teacher. In the selected rectangle, the student had to draw what another person in the room suggested. Sometimes one person suggested the item and another the color. In the case of B-5, that was blank when Amalia's father walked into the room so the teacher suggested drawing him there. This exercise teaches the students about dealing with randomness and helps limber up the imagination and powers of visual recall.
